However, it’s worth to note that Google Assistant is right now limited to replying to the text and the voice replies in the Hindi language aren’t supported yet.
One of the Google’s spokesperson said “The Google Assistant on Android phones and iPhones is currently available in English in India, built for English input but supporting a few selected Hindi queries. While we’ve launched the Hindi Google Assistant on Allo, it’s not available on phones yet. We are looking to bring the Assistant experience to more Indian languages over time,” Well, if you want to try out the latest Hindi version of Google Assistant, then you need to set English (India) as your primary language on Android. For that you need to visit Settings > Languages & Input > Languages > Add a Language > English (India). If you remember in December last year, Google demonstrated a special version Google Assistant for the JioPhone. That version responded to commands in Hindi or English and is capable enough to open apps, send text messages, make calls, play songs and more.
