Samsung recently has revived with a developed intelligent belt that will care about your health. During CES technology, Belt last year showed an abomination of wearable that was oriented to seek changes in the size of the waist of the user to advise on healthy habits. It was awful. This year Samsung tried something similar, but this time, the initiative succeeded. The intelligent belt as SmartBelts from Samsung is similar to a normal belt. However, it includes a set of sensors on the back of the buckle and a micro USB port on the side for charging the device.
Samsung Has Developed An Intelligent Belt
If we have to put a stick, that’s the name: Welt. This acronym comes from the belt wellness, “belt welfare.” The device has been developed within the Creative Lab of Samsung, an internal department of Samsung dedicated to taking ambitious ideas for shaping.
The final products are not made to go directly to the market, but most times its prototypes. However, this does not seem to be the case. Powered by three company employees, the gadget is ready for the market and even has an elegant air. The Welt is complemented by a smartphone app that immediately identifies your waist and counts the number of steps you take throughout the day. The app also includes a feature dedicated to monitoring overeating through changes in belt tension. Since the belt Welt is a project of the Creative Lab of Samsung, we still do not know their availability or price. However, the team says it is considering taking the set to the market in the future.
