WoW! Mozilla To Launch Firefox Premium
The well-known web browser Firefox is one of the great creation of Mozilla organization and currently, it has been fighting for the monetization of its flagship product for some years since its relationship with the tech giant Google is not as good as it was at first. In fact, the company itself has been carrying out alternative works to raise funds, for example through the income of affiliates with the promotion of ProtonVPN, or with content sponsored through Pocket, something that has recently the CEO of Mozilla, spoken Chris Beard stated. At the same time, he wanted to make it clear that this is a company that is now ready to try something completely new with its users. As, the CEO of Mozilla, Chris Beard himself has revealed that Mozilla is in the final stages of planning a new subscription service which will be known as Firefox Premium with which it aims to solve out much of the problem of monetization. This mode will be known as Firefox Premium which would offer a package of services that could include elements like advanced online storage along with a VPN, which would increase the security and privacy of users on the internet while using this browser.
Firefox Premium
As it has been known, the firm has been carrying out various tests with its own VPN that would protect its users when making certain movements on the internet that are more sensitive. Thus, with this new model in principle, it wanted to offer a more complete solution that provides everyone with a certain amount of free VPN bandwidth, with a Premium level through a monthly subscription. In the same way, they will also add more services to this subscription as well as focus on the relationship with the user to be more effective in business environments. While now if we talk about the dates, then let me clarify that it is expected that the Firefox Premium service will be launched in the month of October 2019. Here’s what the CEO, Chris Beard stated “We also tested VPN. We can tell if you’re on a public Wi-Fi network and want to do online banking and say, “Wow, you really should use VPN.” You can imagine we’ll offer a solution that gives us all a certain amount of free VPN Bandwidth and then offers a premium level over a monthly subscription. We want to add more subscription services to our mix and focus more on the relationship with the user to become more resilient in business issues”. Moreover, it would include a free level to encourage its customers to perform the update when this mode expires, while Chris Beard has also made it clear that users will not have to pay for anything free now. It is quite likely that all this is useful for Mozilla to have a source of income independent of Google and ads while having a more direct relationship with its users. But the fact is that if it wants to be successful with this new proposal, it will have to offer something more than a VPN. So, what do you think about this?
